Around The Rock #2 at Spice Route is the 2nd event on this new Trail Run Series. Experience the beauty, challenge, and adventure of trail running around the iconic Paarl Rock in the heart of the Cape Winelands at this amazing venue.

“The historic farm itself dates back to 1693 and was originally named Leeuwenjagt, meaning “hunting lions”.

The heritage of Spice Route Destination goes back to the historical mariners who used to trade Eastern spices to Europe along the “Spice Route” for the spice trade in the 15th century.

Spice Route, as it is known today, was initiated in 1997 by the current owners.”

Whether you’re a seasoned trail runner or a nature-loving newcomer, this event is designed to inspire, energize, and reward.

  • Medals for all finishers.
  • Please do not leave any valuables in the car. You can leave it at registration.
  • Registration will take place on the morning of the event and will be open one hour before the start.
  • No refunds if you cancel your entry.
  • Your entry will be removed if not paid after 3 days.
  • Water stations will be available however it is always good to run with your own hydration pack.
